wow. red eyes are really fun. hah. hah.
i made it to Alma. :) I somehow made it through my last day in san francisco. work was as insane as i thought it would be. but i made myself proud by telling people 'no' on some things... or saying, 'perhaps you'd like to ask someone to do that who's NOT going away for a month?' made it through the 2 auditions - not my best work...the movie one went rather atrociously actually, but who gives a shit - i'm done!!!!!!! :)
My 10:40pm plane thurs night was delayed til about 11:30pm. There was a baby and a young child in the row behind me. there was a small yappy dog two rows in front of me. and there was a young couple making out in the seats next to me. but i think i managed a wee bit of sleep on the way to charlotte. once in charlotte, my flight to buffalo was delayed, so i got a bagel and some juice and promptly fell asleep hardcore on my bag so much so that I woke up and the airport had gone from totally empty to filled to the 4th of July weekend brim and i was drooling on myself and must have looked quite the sight as i asked the poor man next to me, '*yawn* have they called for buffalo yet?'
my charlotte flight was delayed too... and us airways (who i am not impressed with) overbooked it (just like they did on the SF flight) so our delay went even longer. But I finally made it into Buffalo around 11:30am east coast time. dave and i had lunch with an old friend of his from high school, Jenny, who is very awesome and i was still even able to make coherant statements... so that was all okay. we also had to find a dance store that carried rock rosin since the airport told me i wasn't allowed to bring my spray rosin (i think i should have been allowed to put it in my checked luggage, but they said no. i need to look into that.) well the best dance stor in the city just happened to be a mile down the road from Jenny's house and omigod - who knew? buffalo, ny has the most beautiful, spacious, dance store i have ever seen with an expansive, mind-blowing inventory. sadly there was no time to gawk or look at leotards. :( but we got my rosin adn were on our way for the 2 plus hour ride to Alma, NY and to dave's dad. we made it safe and sound. i prompty fell asleep again as soon as i hit the couch. and later we went into wellsville, ny and ate at the famous texas hots, which just happens to have an autographed picture of bill pullman in it as he is from around here. small world. :)
time for bed. goodnight.

Glad you guys are both there safe and sound. Hope you found something to eat at the ol' Texas Hot, Arwen. Am taking Momwow to the retreat tomorrow. Got the DVD player working. All is well and the birdies love her schedule. They will not like me so much the next few days, what with my late tendencies...
Let us all know where you are from time to time. Take photos. I mean, not too many photos...but some. :-) My manager just had all his camera gear stolen on vacation in Hawaii, including the memory cards. :-( So maybe it's a good idea to burn copies to CD or DVD every few days as backups if you have a few blanks with you. Most importantly, ride safely! We want you back in one piece. Or well, two pieces, one for each of you.
thanks for all your help deborah!!!!! especially the driving of the MOMWOW. and the birdie-sitting of course. :) we're about to take off to ithaca and i will do my bestest with blog updates - we already have some awesome pics of doing tissu in a tree in alma from yesterday and then trying to teach dave and his friend aaron. :) hee hee! good times! best of all - it's not in the 90's here anymore - today it actually feels like san francisco. :) pleasing. just took puppy for a walk and it was sunny and beautiful and peaceful. i think we really needed to get away from the city for a bit.
prease to thanking you for helpfulnesses and we'll check in soon. we'll tell you how The Nines is doing. yum. tasty times.
Are you going to see Aoise in Ithaca?
So happy you're on your way! And don't worry, all the opportunities that were coming your way before you left will be there when you return. They're not random chance, they're a result of your hard work and general awesomeness. Have a wonderful journey and continue to keep us all posted! xoxo A.
sadly zanne, we ended up in ithaca for less than 24 hours....so we kinda blew through... we could have happily stayed a week, but it wasn't in the cards this time.... ah well....
and arika - believe it or not, it's still happening! e-mails from my agent for gigs - another magic show for the fall auditioning mid july. the calls are not stopping. on july 29th they probably will, but you know what, i'm looking out mom's window at a fatty fatty groundhog just checking out what mom's yard has to offer, on a fantastically beautiful summer day and right now...i just don't care what I'm missing. :) yay!
