sickies....

...are no fun. :( nor is endless rain when one is a bicycle commuter.

my nose has created enough snot to feed a small army of closet elves.

water water everywhere and not a drop to drink

pj's are really really great things. it took me WAY too long to figure that out. oh. and snuggly socks. oh yes.

dave is sick too.

MEOW MIX!

i think PBS is so amazing. yesterday George Clooney and Michael Eisner were on the Charlie Rose show together. that was rad. and before that, I learned a whole lot of terrible history regarding the Aleutian Islands (just another terrible kernal of man's complete disregard for, well, 1. fellow man; and 2) duh. that wee little thing called our Planet; and 3: fortheloveofgodandallthatisholy. um. i can't remember what 3 was going to be, so I will just say HELLO?!?!? 90% of the sea otter population - wiped out...oh wait! that's it.... OH YES - underground nuclear bomb testing. i don't think there were environmental impact studies done before they tried that, not once, not twice, but oh yes, THREE times. *sigh* just needed to make sure they REALLY took care of that goshdarn ecosystem. and then after that there was some show about Helen of Troy starting, but the narrator was so incredibly on happy pills, it was unwatchable. but i still appreciate PBS for trying.

i need to lay off the sudafed

less pleasing, but still very nice:
http://www.sfbg.com/40/22/x_list_stage.html

and my friend arika is flying in tonight from LA for a few days! also pleasing!

I leave work in 4 minutes! very pleasing!

PS: to my quiz friends:

You are a Social Liberal (75% permissive)

and an... Economic Liberal (15% permissive)

You are best described as a: Socialist

You exhibit a very well-developed sense of Right and Wrong and believe in economic fairness.

and here was my one chance at creating law:

"I would dictate that all manatees should be treated like National Treasures and that running over one with a boat would become a crime worthy of life in prison."—AA from San Francisco, CA

and here are a few other choice slices of wisdom I saw at the same time that they showed me mine (no changes made at all to spelling/grammar/etc):

"I would dictate that...if you chose to bad mouth America in a way that helps our enemys, you should have to move to that country."

"I would dictate that...everyone that wants to wote should pass a test to prove he is a responsible and allsied knowing person...he knows all benefits and dissadvantages of all political parties'

"I would dictate that...The Taxs would be abolished, for they are constitutionaly illegal."

"I would dictate that...work day is only 4 days a week."
(come on dude - this was a 'go for it!' type law making wish, you couldn't have gone out on a limb and said 2 days a week?!?!?!??! or even 3?!?!!??)

Quiz Time!

Another quiz! Yay! Thank you Deborah! This one is really silly: What D&D Character Are You?: http://fantasyherald.com/quiz/dand/index.php

My results (which are slightly ironic, yes?)

You Are A: Neutral Good Elf Barbarian

Alignment: Neutral Good characters believe in the power of good above all else. They will work to make the world a better place, and will do whatever is necessary to bring that about, whether it goes for or against whatever is considered 'normal'.

Race: Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance. (I guess as an Arwen, I should not be surprised that I am an elf.) :)

Primary Class: Barbarians live outside the 'civilized' They have tribal goverments, and are often nomads. What they may lack in refinement is balanced by there strength of individual character and ability to survive.
