weekend at the big top

well, that was what it felt like anyway, even though the 'big top' was a huge, strange, white gym... but truly - last weekend was REALLY amazing for me and a huge thank you goes out to all of you that were there to experience it. THANK YOU for being part of something so new and exciting and still sort of magical for me.... i know that dave had a wonderful time as well and it was a very very very special event for the both of us. i still need to decompress a bit, but whilst i get my thoughts in order.....here are a few pics thanks to deb and michael from the first performance - the saturday matinee....

mini is very special

i don't really even know what to say. she is a very special oliphant. she is the first thing i started on my new sewing machine and is made from an old pair of MOMWOW's pajamas. she lives with MOMWOW now, who is taking very good care of her and making sure that she gets lots of love.

yeah. mini is pretty amazing. she has a cape. it has little oliphants on the trim. herbert let me use his cape as an example. that was very good for a frog that has a hard time sharing. but like i said, mini is very special. you can see it in her eyes.

uff da!

a few weeks ago, dave and i went to norway day down at fort mason. dave decided that he was unimpressed with my people. they seem to be obsessed with lutefisk and trolls and saying 'uff da'. i don't really have a comeback. it really did seem that way. and the only thing to eat was fishballs. um. no thanks.



we got some ice cream, but it had been kept on dry ice, so it broke my spoon. the day was not a success. i did get a glimpse of my future though....

My Circus Debut!

So... information is FINALLY up about the Circus Center's Showcase and tickets are now available thru the website. We just had a rehearsal tonight where Dave and I ran through the routine for the first time with him playing 'Here Comes the Flood' live and singing. And I'm happy to report that it went really well. :) He sounds great reverberating through the huge gym. sweet.

It's now being billed as a Circus Cabaret. The adults have the first hour and then after intermission the youth circus will present their new show. I think it should be perty excellent. :)

Deb (who gets major awesomeness points for this!) even made it possible to get a preview, as she videotaped my very first public performance at SupperClub here in the city. She's got it up on her blog: HERE and on youtube: HERE This is a bit, um, different cause it's improv-ing to a DJ at a hip club with a small amount of clothes on....but I'm still proud to say that a) it looks like I know what I'm doing; and b) they asked me back and gave me a real job there performing as a hired aerial act during dinnertime, rather than 12:30 at night. :) good stuff. :)

fred the weevil

i made a friend for Mr. Bean. his name is fred the weevil. he is as excitable as mr. bean is chill.

they seem to be fast friends.

dave has told me that i'm not allowed to create an army of special friends, so i guess people better watch out - if i make any more of them, they may need adopting.
